There have been many ups and downs, haha. I wrote this article in 2018 but transferred it from Medium. Although my morning routine was chaotic during the pandemic, I regained control. I still struggle to wake up at 6 am in winter, so I have shifted my wake-up time to 7 am. I plan to move it back to 6-6:30 am in the summer. What I fill it with keeps changing as my interests also change. Despite this, it always feels great to have quality time before work. I no longer think that work drains all my energy by the end of the day. I feel more in control of my life. Do you wake up early and have a morning routine, too?

I do, although not as early as you haha. The important point is I take the time to honor my body and heart with some stretching and proteins before embarking on a slow 15-min walk. This routine definitely helped me find balance and solace.

The length or specific time of day is not essential. What truly matters is that we prioritize ourselves first thing in the morning. It's the feeling of accomplishment, knowing that we've done something for ourselves before the demands of the day take over, that is most important. I wish I would live in nature :( I would go for a walk in the mornings. Do you?
